MARION ANNIE ANDERSON Marion passed away peacefully at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris on Sunday, March 6, 2005 in her 82nd year. Marion was born in Sperling on July 11, 1923. In 1945 she moved to Morris to work as a telephone operator, until marrying Melvin in 1946. They raised five children in and around the Morris area. Marion's favourite hobby was collecting stuff , and her yearly garage sales were looked forward to by dealers and collectors from the area. She loved to challenge her grandchildren to a game of rummikub or scrabble, and in the past few months she loved a game of crokinole with family when they came to visit at the Lodge. Marion was predeceased by her husband Melvin in 1985; and is survived by Carol (Bob), Brian (Kathy), Don (Lainie), Betty-Lou (Michael), and Ian. She also leaves much loved grandchildren, Brenda, Colin, Jackie, Stacey, Ryan and Tracey; and her three favourite little guys, Nathan, Sammy, and MacKenzie. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Friday, March 11 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Morris Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. The family would like to thank the caring staff at the Red River Valley Lodge, special neighbours, and Morris people in general for their support of Marion and Ian along the way.
