ALBERT BOXER, aged 87 years, passed away at the Grace Hospital on Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at 8:00 a.m. He had been ill for some time. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 58 years, Phyllis; his daughter Irene and son-in-law David Meyrowitz and his three grandchildren, Jody Boxer-Leslie, Elana Boxer-Meyrowitz and Jesse Boxer-Meyrowitz. Albert was a veteran from the Second World War. He served with the RCAF in England, North Africa and Italy as a radar mechanic in the Air Force. He was an avid and well known chess player/teacher in Winnipeg for decades. The funeral will be held at the Etz Chayim Synagogue at 123 Matheson, on Thursday, March 10 at noon. Interment to follow at the Rosh Pina Memorial Park on 1999 Main St. Shiva to be held at the home of Irene and David Meyrowitz. Longer obituary to follow. Our prayers are with you, Albert.
