ALICE DA COSTA BERNARDO November 24, 1924 - March 8, 2005 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Alice on March 8, 2005 peacefully at her residence, at the age of 80 years. Alice is survived by her loving sons and daughters; Adriana (Tomas), Jose Maria (Elda), Fatima (Rui), Humberto, Filomena and Antero (Debra); 14 grandchildren; sisters, Angelina and Adriana (Antonio) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Jose and her parents. Alice was born in Portugal and came to Canada in 1963 with her children to join her husband. Her happiest times were spent with her children and grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Home Care for their compassion. Prayers will be said on Friday, March 11 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 12 at 9:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. with Rev. Fr. Jose Eduardo Medeiros as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alice's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
