ERNEST LLOYD JONES On March 6, 2005, Lloyd passed away peacefully in Palm Desert California, just a few months short of his 84th birthday. Born in Winnipeg on July 1, 1921, Lloyd grew up in the West End, attending Laura Secord and Gordon Bell Schools and then serving as a Pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. A Law Graduate from the University of Manitoba, Lloyd and his wife, Doreen Jean Manson, had three children, William Martin, Gregory Lloyd and Jerrilyn Doreen. The family lived for a time in both Winnipeg and Calgary before finally settling in California in 1949. Left to mourn him and cherish his wonderful sense of humor will be his children, his grandchildren, his sister Audrey in Winnipeg and his brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Peggy on Vancouver Island. Cremation has taken place and an informal Memorial Service has been held in Palm Desert.
