His longtime interest in automotives led him into training as an automotive technician and his career most recently focused on heavy duty equipment. He was appreciated as a dedicated member of the team wherever he worked and will be sadly missed. Rick was known for his compassion for people and animals, especially his pets Dixie and Marmalade. He was appreciated by friends and family for having a strong ethical sense, teaching others by example. He courageously took a stand for what he believed was right. He was always willing to help, counselling his sisters by long distance when they had car problems. He had a strong sense of family and never failed to assume responsibility in his devotion.
