PHYLLIS MARTHA ROSE FAWCETT (nee SMITH) It is with deep regret that we announce the death of our mom, Phyllis Martha Rose Fawcett on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at the Heritage Lodge, Winnipeg, MB, at the age of 81 years. Remaining to cherish her memory are her sister Ivy; brothers, Don and Alf; sons, Raymond Skip (Elaine), Gordie (Donna) and Kim (Irene); daughter Pat (Roger); nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Ray; and two sons, Randy and Barry. Phyllis married Ray Fawcett in 1939 and they farmed south of Portage la Prairie in the Gainsborough District. She worked very hard but she always made time for her favourite past time, playing horseshoes and she won many championships around the province. Phyllis had a heart of gold and was always there for her family and friends. We will always miss her warm smile and caring ways. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hillside Cemetery in Portage la Prairie, MB. Special thanks to the staff at Heritage Lodge.
