Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACQUES (JACK) A. ALLARD Suddenly on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 Jacques Jack A. Allard of Newton was taken from us. In the company of friends and family, Jack succumbed to a sudden heart attack at the age of 48 years. He is predeceased by his father Laurent Allard on March 14, 1995 and his father-in-law Micheal David Tomlinson on November 16, 2000. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Catherine (nee) Tomlinson; and his children, Tom, Jacie, Jesse, Crystal, Jonathan, Justin and Caleb all of Newton MB. Also left to mourn is his mother Laurette Allard, seven brothers and sisters, Dennis Allard of Portage la Prairie, Michelle (Florent) Beaudin of St. Laurent, Sylvie (Ralph) Piche of Fannystelle, Luc (Diane) Allard of St. Francois, Marie-Anne (Bill) Fitzgerald of St. Eustache, Veronique (Brian) Gibson of Winnipeg and Elisabeth Thomas of Vancouver BC, the Tomlinson family, mother-in-law Glady Tomlinson, Barb (Rick) Brown, John (Verlie) Tomlinson, Teresa Tomlinson, Darrell Tomlinson, Violet (Marty) Polson, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Jack was born November 11, 1956 the fifth child of Laurent and Laurette nee Bernardin Allard of St Francois Xavier, MB. Jack grew up in the St. Francois (Lido Plage) area. The Allard farm was the site of many pond hockey games, dirt bike races, baseball games and just spending time with neighbours, friends and family. People would just drop in and soon they were off on some adventure. Jack graduated from St. Paul's Collegiate in Elie in 1975 and soon was employed with MTS with whom he was employed at the time of his passing. Jack was employed with MTS all his working life. A faithful and hard working man, Jack will especially be remembered as a loving and caring husband and father. Jack and Cathy are home teaching their children and Jack was instrumental in their education and up bringing. Jack was a Christian, a deeply religious man; church and God were always at the centre of the Allard's family life. Jack will be deeply missed by family, friends, coworkers and anyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His strength of character, devotion to God and family and love of life have inspired all of those who knew Jack the husband, father, son, brother and friend. A time of viewing and visitation for family and friends will take place on Sunday, March 13, 2005 at Community Fellowship Church in Newton, MB from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and prior to the service. Funeral service for Jack Allard will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 14, 2005 at Community Fellowship Church in Newton, MB with Pastor Ramsy Unruh officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Portage la Prairie. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire donations may be made in Jack's memory to World Vision P.O. Box 1000, Stn. Streetsville, Mississauga, ON L5M 9Z9 or Gospel for Asia 245 King St. E, Stony Creek, ON L8G 1L9. The Allard Family Trust Fund has been established at the Portage Credit Union, 19 Royal Rd. North, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 1T9. A tree will be planted and cared for in memory of Jack by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel who are in care of arrangements.
