HELEN ZACHARIAS (KROEKER) May 2, 1921 - March 10, 2005 It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mom passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2005 with her family at her side. She leaves to mourn her children, Lavina (Cliff), Sharon (Henry), Brad (Peggy), Bonnie (Tim); her grandchildren, Lindsay (Noel), Ryan, Cindy (David), Jaret (Cindy), Steve, David (fiancee, Angie), Luke, Joanna, Kelly; great-grandchildren, Austin, Jonathan, Carmela; one brother, two sisters and many in-laws. Mom was predeceased by her husband Bill (1995) and one infant son. Mom was happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends. She was very gifted with intricate needle work. Her other passions were reading, singing in the choir and gardening. She will also be remembered for her delicious home made noodles. Mom had a unique sense of humour and enjoyed a good laugh. Her strong faith in God helped her overcome many hurdles throughout life. As children, we thank our parents for the legacy of faith in God, and unconditional love they have left us. With age the qualities of wisdom and graciousness became more and more evident in Mom's life, the words of Romans 12:9 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness' became a reality and an example for her family. We thank the staff at Donwood Manor for the compassionate and tender care, and giving our Mom the dignity and respect she deserved. A special thanks to the Concordia ER. Memorial services will be held at Braeside E.M.C., 1011 Munroe on Wednesday, March 16, at 2:30 p.m. Viewing at Klassen Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 15 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6, or EMC Conference, 755 St. Anne's Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2N 4G6.
