SIMONE VAN DAMME (nee HUTLET) Peacefully on Sunday, March 13, 2005 at Health Sciences Centre, Simone passed away suddenly at the age of 73 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Linda (Bert) Berard, Debbie (Chris) Adams, and son Randy (Sheila) Van Damme; her seven grandchildren, Darryl and Kerrilyn Berard, Crystal, Stacey, and Cody Adams, and Lindsay and Kelly Van Damme. Also left to cherish her memory are sisters, Alice (Gerard) Van Damme, Isabelle (Romeo) Choquette, Irene (Alex) Grenier; brothers, Lucien (Rita) Hutlet and Robert (Gean) Hutlet; sisters-in-law, Venice Hutlet and Marge Hutlet; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Walter; her parents Victor and Jeanne Hutlet; brothers, Marcel and Edward Hutlet; and niece Marilyn Hutlet. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the medical teams that cared for Mom during her stay at both the St. Boniface Hospital and the Health Sciences Centre. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 16 at 10:30 a.m. with viewing one half hour prior to service at Notre Dame de la Misericorde, Ile des Chenes, MB, with Fr. Edmond Baril officiating. Interment to follow in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made in Simone's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. We will sadly miss Mom's gentle, loving presence. She truly had a heart of gold. A heart of gold stopped beating, Working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove He only takes the best.
