MARGARETE LOISE MARTENS (nee PENNER) 1936 - 2005 On Sunday, March 13, 2005, Margarete passed away at the St. Boniface General Hospital, at the age of 69 years. Remaining to cherish her memory are her four children; seven grandchildren; and all but one of her siblings. Margarete will be remembered for her tremendous creativity, which found expression in choral singing, piano improvisation and oil painting. As well, many benefited from her love of gardening, sewing, baking and flower arranging. A Celebration of Margarete's Life will be held on Wednesday, March 16 at 2:00 p.m. in Fort Garry Mennonite Fellowship, 150 Bayridge Ave. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Margarete's memory may be made to Jocelyn House Inc., 177 Egerton Road, Winnipeg, MB R2M 2W7.
