Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN MAY NEELY After a long and courageous battle with a difficult illness, Helen May Neely passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2005, just a month short of her 85th birthday. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Mary Parkes; sister Mabel Chambers; brothers, Norman and Jack and sister-in-law Olive Parkes. She is survived by her husband of 63 years William (Bill) Neely; sons, Brian and Kerry (Debbie); daughter Sharon Harley and son-in-law Lorne Harley; five grandchildren Shannon (Clarence), Jason (Michelle), Laura (Kevin), Jennifer (Scott) and Ashlea; five great-grandchildren, Jesse, Jaremy, Justin, Tori and Kyran; sisters-in-law, Margaret Parkes and Margaret Torgerson, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was born April 19, 1920 in Oatfield, MB. She married Bill Neely in 1942 and spent the next four years waiting for her husband to come home from overseas. They lived in various places over the years and made many friends. Mom was a kind and caring person who took pride in her family and her home. She was always there for us and we will miss her deeply. Our sadness is tempered with the joy we feel knowing Mom is present with Jesus and is free of her illness and suffering. We would like to thank the wonderful staff of Goodwin Lodge for caring for Mom during her short residence there. We would also like to thank Home Care for all their help. Special thanks to Betty Campbell - we would not have managed without you. We would also like to thank Dr. Pillay, Dr. McTaggart, Dr. Louden and Dr. Graham for all the care Mom received from them over the years and for their understanding during the difficult times. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, at the Eriksdale Recreational Centre in Eriksdale, MB, with Rev. Melanie Kauppila officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the Hall. Interment to follow in the Eriksdale Municipal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Teulon Hospital, General Delivery, Teulon, MB R0C 3B0. Arrangements by: Arnason Funeral Homes Ltd. Ashern - Lundar 1-204-768-2072
