Date of Passing: Mar 14, 2005
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND ALBERT COOK December 26, 1945 - March 14, 2005 Sadly, on March 14, Raymond Albert Cook, formerly of Winnipeg passed away at St. Boniface Hospital. He will be forever cherished and missed by his wife of 33 years Sharon; his son Robert (Sandra) and future grandchild to be born in April; his daughter Kristy Holowec (Michael); grandson Evan; brothers, Don, Ralph and special cousin Allan Johnson and their families, and his faithful dog Kiwi. Ray was born and raised in Winnipeg. In 1989, with the help of his friends and family, he built his dream cottage in Winnipeg Beach, which in 1997 became Ray and Sharon's home. Ray spent many happy years golfing, boating, chopping wood and entertaining family and friends. Ray enjoyed a good joke and was a jokester himself. He had many interests in life, but his main passion was aircraft. It's reassuring to know he's now flying above watching over his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Western Canada Aviation Museum Inc., 958 Ferry Road, Winnipeg, MB R3H 0Y8 or to a charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, March 18 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with Ray's sister-in-law Angela Clifton officiating. You may be gone, but you'll never be forgotten. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca

Brenda and I will truly miss Ray. What started out as neighbors turned into lifelong friends. Many nights at the lake laughing and playing cards, trying to avoid that Queen of Spades. Ray was not only a friend he was a gentleman. All our memories are fond ones. He will be missed. - Posted by: Ray and Brenda Hill (Friend) on: Mar 17, 2005
