On Saturday, March 12, 2005, 18 hours short of his 23rd birthday, Danny won the Ultimate Match, his life. At home, in his family's presence, Danny left this home to be in the Home that Jesus prepared for him. He will be met by his grandpa David W. Neufeld and his baby brother. Danny is the son of Richard and Kathy Regnier; brother to Tricia Akerley (Stewart), David Regnier (Louise); and uncle to precious Adele and Marcus Akerley. He is the grandson of Maurice and Patricia Regnier and Anne Neufeld; and great-grandson of Emilie Belcourt. As well, Danny leaves behind many very special uncles, aunts, cousins, housemates and staff at Ness House and many special friends. Daniel was born in Winnipeg on March 13, 1982. In 1984, he went to Toronto and received a kidney transplant. Danny attended Strathmillan, Lord Roberts and Grant Park High Schools. He graduated in June 2003. Some of Danny's greatest enjoyments were shopping at the mall to buy Rock n Roll CDs and WWF movies, Saturday afternoon swimming, coffee and a donut and a party. But more than this, he enjoyed family get-togethers, sleepovers with Marcus and Adele, coffee at Jake's, OV beer with his uncles and swimming in Scotty's pool. A celebration of Danny's life will be held on Friday, March 18 at 2:00 p.m. in The Bridge Church, 620 Oxbow Bend, with Dr. Brian Brglez officiating. Our family would like to thank all the medical personnel, who for the past 23 years provided Danny care, the staff at the Hope Centre for all their love and friendship, all the teachers and teacher's aids for their contribution of love and care in Danny's life and to all our family and friends who prayed and visited. I'm truly sadenned by the loss of danny and where he is now he will be happy and will be able to have a wonderful and very joyful time with christ jesus. He will be able to stand up straight and tall and look him in the eye's and HIS hands will be out waiting for danny to grab ahold of his outstreatched arms. donut and hotdog will be aplentiful.
