WILLI BILLEN On March 14, 2005 at Concordia Hospital, Willi Billen, of Winnipeg passed away at the age of 70 years. Willi is survived by his wife Lilo; daughters, Monica (Brian) McKay and Susan (Jim) Krahn; son Roy (Angeli); grandchildren, Brendan, Brittany, Margaux, Jessica and Nikko; also sisters, Uschi Broda, Siegrid Billen-Wiesner (Fred) and goddaughter Ulrika. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Wolfgang. Willi retired at 63 after working for 34 years as a cabinetmaker at Display Fixtures. He enjoyed travelling and golfing with his wife, playing soccer with his friends, roller-skating and swimming with his grandkids, as well as woodcarving, skiing and sailing. A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, March 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Willi's memory to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation or to Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation.
