Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMURIEL ATCHISON February 17, 1928 - March 13, 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Muriel (nee Brown) at Oakview Nursing Home, Winnipeg, the beloved wife of Jack for 55 years. Muriel, born in Newcastle on Tyne, UK and immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada in 1956 with her family. She leaves to mourn her loving family, sister Gwenneth (Nick); her children, Neil (Margaret), Howard, Anne, (Alick Watson), and Peter (Cheryl); and grandchildren, Troy (Penny), Tannis, Julia, Fiona, Gillian, Kyla, Sydney; and great-grandchildren, Ashley and Jade. Muriel was a schoolteacher in England and a keen outdoors person where she met and married Jack in 1950 and together pursued there many joint interests of hillwalking, camping, gardening, church and their beloved Victoria Beach cottage life. It was her hope that her interests and ideals would continue to be shared by her family. A cremation and committal has already taken place and a memorial service will take place for family and friends at St. George's Church, Crescentwood (Grosvenor/Wilton), at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 18, a reception will follow in the church hall.
