VICTOR GEORGE WILKES Peacefully, on Friday, March 11, 2005, at his residence, Victor passed away suddenly at the age of 54 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his brother Garry (Noreen) and sister Pamela (Wade); as well as nieces, Lisa, Cristy and Brittany; nephews, Ryan and Jim and a great-niece Clara-Marie. Victor was predeceased by his parents, Ross and Mary in 2003. Victor was born April 17, 1950, in Vancouver, BC. With his father in the military, the family moved to Kingston, ON, then Camp Val Cartier, QC before settling down in Winnipeg. Victor, a University of Manitoba graduate, enjoyed a good book, the outdoors and was an avid coin collector. In his earlier years, he was a competitive curler and a cross country runner. A celebration of Victor's life will be held on Friday, March 18 at 2:00 p.m. in Crestview United Church, 316 Hamilton Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one's choice.
