Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH MACIEJKO It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Joseph Maciejko on March 15, 2005 at the Health Sciences Centre. Joseph was born March 5, 1919 in Springfield and later resided in North Kildonan. He served in Europe during the Second World War and on September 6, 1945, Joseph married Dorothy in Sheffield, England. Joseph worked in the C.N. Stores Department for over 30 years, retiring in 1980. Joseph was predeceased by his parents, John and Barbara; four brothers, Mike, Nick, Bill and Peter; one sister, Anne. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy; son, Bill; granddaughters Anna and Leah; brother, Alec (Dianne) Maciejkow; sisters, Mary (Mike) Borowski, Jessie (Ed) LaVergne, Elsie DeVisser; sisters-in-law, Sophie Maciejko, Anne Maciejkow, Frances Magico and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family is very grateful to the staff of 2East at Deer Lodge Center and Emergency and 4D at Health Sciences Centre for the excellent care. A special thanks to Jane Cahill for giving support and comfort to Joseph and the family. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road, with viewing at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if you wish donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
