MARY ELEANOR DORINE SNIDAL On Monday, March 14, 2005, Mary Snidal (nee Jonasson), widow of David, who predeceased her in 1965, of Winnipeg. Mary was born in Winnipeg in 1927, the only child of Runa and Hafstein Jonasson. She lived in the city's West End all her life, and attended Laura Secord and Gordon Bell (Mulvey) schools. She was a beautiful, gentle person, a wonderful mother and a good friend to all who knew her. What Mary loved best was being surrounded by her children and extended family, Les, Dave, Grant, Bob, Debbie, Ken, Elizabeth and others, at endless gatherings. There was never enough time to be spent this way. Amid the din, she especially enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra. Mary is predeceased by her parents and leaves to mourn her passing her son Jon (Susan) and daughters, Kathryn (Darren) and Barbara (Rick) and Kisa (orange, of course). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 18, at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, 580 Victor St. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Special thanks to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital and the Palliative Care Team of the WRHA. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Lutheran Church.
