MAUREEN J. MCFEE October 14, 1950 - March 13, 2005 Peacefully at her home, on Sunday, March 13, 2005 she went to be with the Lord. She will be sadly by her dear friend Hannah (Dillon); daughter Kristy (Marc); her son Jason; her sister Ruth (Tony); father and stepmother Harkness and Clara Black; her niece and nephew Heather and Patrick; her five grandchildren, Briggette, Aimee, Celeste, Jay-Lee and Jessie; her cousins, Kelly and Cathy and their families and many friends. She was predeceased by her mother Jean and sister Kay. She was born and raised in Stony Mountain. She moved to Thompson for a couple of years and then moved to Winnipeg and worked at numerous law offices throughout the years. She also worked as a bartender part time for many years. Maureen was likable wherever she went, she enjoyed going to football games and playing bingo in her spare time. She also enjoyed gardening and going to the lake in the summer to do crosswords with Aunt Helen. But most of all, she cherished her five grandchildren. We love you and we'll miss you very much. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Aubrey Street entrance. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Dear Lord Put your arms around her, Hold her in your care, Make up for all she suffered, And all she had to bear. She went through much in silence, Her spirit did not bend, She faced her trials with courage, Until the very end. It broke our hearts to lose her, But she did not go alone, For part of us went with her, The day God called her home. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I worked with Maureen for many years at the St.James Legion. She was a very caring & giving person. I consider Maureen a friend even though we lost touch of one another years ago. I found out about her passing from our former boss at the Legion, Freeman Myers & was very upset to have heard of her passing. Maureen talked alot of her children when we worked together. I just want her family to know that my condolences are with you all at this difficult time. - Posted by: Linda Schoffer (Friend) on: Mar 17, 2005
