EDNA DAVIS (nee Mansfield) passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, March 14, 2005 at her residence, Rideau Park Personal Care Home, Brandon. She was predeceased by her husband Les; her sisters, Mary and Betty; and brother Phillip. As Edna goes to be with God, she leaves to cherish her memory, her sisters, Inez and Charity; her natural children, Walter Thiessen (Betty), Patrick Thiessen (Lorraine), Richard Davis (Amar), Flora Thiessen, Phillip Thiessen and Susan Johanson. She will also be lovingly remembered by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Edna was born on May 29, 1921 at Dauphin, MB. She took great pleasure in knowing her children and finding peace in her life. She will be sadly missed. A funeral service will be held at Knox United Church, 451-18th St., Brandon, on Saturday, March 19 at 2:30 p.m. with Sherry Sawatsky-Dyck officiating. Interment will follow at the Brandon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Edna may be made to a charity of choice. Special thanks for the care and compassion shown to Edna at Rideau Park Personal Care Home.
