Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARRY STEINKE May 6, 1920 - March 17, 2005 Peacefully, on March 17, 2005, at Red River Place in Selkirk, MB, Harry passed away at the age of 84. Harry was predeceased by his daughters Geraldine (Judy) in 1999, and Deborah as an infant in 1957. Harry will be lovingly remembered by his wife Waldarine Steinke; sons, Allan (Colleen), Douglas, Greg (Angie); son-in-law Gary Loeb; grandchildren, Tim (Carla) Loeb, Marnie (Andrew) Sit, Briette and Latrissa Steinke; and great-granddaughter Alyx Loeb. He is also survived by two brothers, Fred and Rudy Steinke; and many nieces, nephews and family relatives. Harry was born in the Golden Bay District. He grew up and farmed in the area all of his life. His passion was working the land, and watching his children grow and develop into successful adults, and in his later years watching his grandchildren follow in similar footsteps. It was important to often tour the farm keeping up with happenings on the land. In 1978, Harry and Waldarine retired to Beausejour where they enjoyed family gatherings, neighbours, and dancing socials at the local Legions. He will always be remembered for being light on his feet and able to keep people entertained with humour. Harry enjoyed his final two years in Selkirk, surrounded with friends. He will be remembered as fun loving, gentle and family orientated. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6, or to a charity of choice.
