Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALMA KUNZ (nee RAUSCH) April 7, 1912 - March 16, 2005 Peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, March 16, 2005, Alma Kunz passed away at age 92. She was predeceased by her husband Gustav in 1979 and her son Orland in 2001. She was also predeceased by five sisters and three brothers. Alma will be remembered by her brothers, Henry Rausch (Emgard) of Brunkild, MB, Art Giese (Mildred) of Simi Valley, CA, Ernest Giese (Marj) of Winnipeg; sister Thelma Giese of Morris and numerous nieces and nephews. She was born to John and Augusta Rausch on April 7, 1912 at Brunkild, she married Gus Kunz in 1929. They farmed in the Brunkild/Sperling area. Gus and Alma retired in 1973 and moved to Winnipeg. Alma was a strong and determined woman who worked hard to make their farm prosperous. She was a wonderful cook and no person left her home feeling hungry. She was an avid reader and in her later years enjoyed watching television and visiting with friends and family by telephone. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 21 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 22 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Brunkild. Viewing prior to the service. Interment and reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Alma's memory to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice.
