SEBASTIEN (EUGENE) MAUBERT It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Eugene Maubert, after a lengthy illness, with his family by his side, on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 91 years. Eugene was born in Transcona, and was raised in the town of Vivian, MB. Eugene married Florence Garbutt on October 9, 1943. Together, they made their home a welcome place for all who dropped by. Eugene enjoyed working in his garden, and one of his many hobbies included a 1928 Model A Ford Coupe which he was very proud of. Family meant everything to him, especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he cherished and adored. He will be deeply missed. He was predeceased by his loving wife Florence in 1996; his parents, Louis and Anne Maubert; two brothers and four sisters; one granddaughter Lindsay and daughter-in-law Christine Maubert. Left to cherish his memory are his children, David, Laurel (Al), Eric (Rita); four grandchildren, Denise (Wilson), Tammy (Patrick), Crystal (Dan) and Kayla; three great-granddaughters, Madison, MacKenzie and Brooke; and one great-grandson Linden. There will be a viewing on Sunday, March 20 between 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place on Monday, March 21 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy # 1E. and Navin Rd. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Ave. A special thank you to the staff at Concordia Hospital, N1, and to Dr. Kowaluk for their exceptional care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3G 1S6. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, (204) 222-3241
