GUY GUILLAS Surrounded by his family in the early hours of March 18, 2005, Guy Guillas passed away peacefully at the Ste. Rose General Hospital at the age of 89 years. Guy was born on July 4, 1915, the eldest son of Jean Louis Guillas and Yvonne Ferec. Guy was predeceased by his first wife Yvonne Raffray; his infant daughter Therese; his parents, Jean Louis and Yvonne; his brothers, Rene, Andre, Alban and his sister Clothilde. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Rose (nee Senger-Wice) of Ste. Rose du Lac; his five children, Anne (Patrice) Letain of Dauphin, Antoine (Marie Ange) of Ste. Rose du Lac, Leo (Nancy) of Kamloops, Gertrude (Louis) Verhaeghe of 150 Mile House, and Paulette (Richard) Brasher of Winnipeg; his stepchildren, Victor (Judy) Wice, Myrna Daye and George (Debra) Wice all of Dryden. There are 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; his brother Yves and wife Therese and his sisters, Estelle Wallwin and Marie Guillas along with numerous nieces and nephews. Prayers will be offered on Monday, March 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the Ste. Rose de Lima Roman Catholic Church. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 22 11:00 a.m. in the Ste. Rose de Lima Roman Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Paul Tinguely will officiate with the interment to follow in the Ste. Rose Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu of, memorial donations may be made in memory of Guy to the Palliative Care Room Fund at the Ste. Rose General Hospital, the Dr. Gendreau Memorial Personal Care Home or to the Ste.
