AGNES FLORENCE SAVAGE (nee ANDERSON) Peacefully with her family by her side Florence passed away on March 17, 2005 at the age of 90. Florence was born on August 12, 1914 in Larne, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, elder daughter to Robert and Mary Anderson. Left to cherish her memory, are her two sons, Adrian (friend Greet) from Calgary and Mervyn (Judy) of Winnipeg; four grandchildren, Andrew (Audra), Susan (Gus), Janet (Sean) from Calgary and Karen from Bryan, TX; plus 10 wonderful great-grandchildren all from Calgary; and will be dearly missed by her sister Ethel Anderson. Mom was predeceased by her beloved husband Henry in 1990, her father Robert in 1919, her mother Mary in 1986, and daughter-in-law Jocelyn in 2004. While growing up in Ireland, Mom was educated at the Royal School of Cavan, County Cavan, Ireland with her uncle the Rev. John Anderson as Head Master. Mom met Henry in Belfast, N. Ireland and where married in 1935. While raising their two sons they decided to immigrate to Canada in 1955. Florence was a strong, warm-hearted woman, who held true to her Irish beliefs and family values. Florence took great joy in her family and friends. Mom was an avid supporter of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers following their every move over the last 50 years. Mom held a special place in many hearts, we will miss her more than words can express but know that she is with God and at last free from pain, our love will know no end. Our heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at River East Personal Care Home, for their considerate and compassionate care, she became very fond of all of you and you held a special place in her heart. A special thank you to Molly and Louise for their dedicated friendship these many years. In lieu of flowers should friends so desire donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Pallbearers will be Frank Blahnik, Dave Blahnik, Bob MacCallum and Andrew Savage. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, March 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, with the Rev.
