MARY MAZURKIEWICH December 28, 1910 - March 19, 2005 On Saturday, March 19, 2005 at Seven Oaks Hospital, Mary Mazurkiewich, aged 94, passed away peacefully with her family at her side. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Phillip and Polly Wladyka; her husband John; brother Paul; and sisters, Sophie, Annie and Josie. Mary will be sadly missed and survived by her daughter Pearl Cyncora (Gmiterek); sons, Melvin, David (Irma) and Dennis; brother Mike; sister Katie (Tom) Schurko; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; numerous nieces, nephews, their families and many of Mary's special friends. Mary was born in Zabaraz, MB on December 28, 1910. When she was older she moved to Winnipeg and resided there until her death. Mom's greatest love was her family. There was not one thing our Baba would not do for her children or grandchildren. She enjoyed to cook and was the best cook ever. Mom enjoyed the challenge of a cribbage game. She didn't lose to many of them. Mom treasured family gatherings and always looked forward to visits from her children and grandchildren. The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff at River East Personal Care Home for their excellent care and a special note of thanks to Amanda who Mom called Her little Angel . Also, the family acknowledges the staff of 5th floor, Unit 6 at Seven Oaks Hospital for their acts of kindness and care to our Mom. A special note of thanks to Louise, Roger, Shannon, Kellie and Helen. The family also recognizes and thanks Patrick Beirnes, a very special person, who ensured Mom's every need was taken care of and that she was very comfortable during this time. Funeral service will be held at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Watt Street at Munroe Avenue on Tuesday, March 22, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Darren Kawiuk officiating. Interment will follow in Transcona Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy, Braydon and Lindsey Mazurkiewich, Louis Van de Vorst, Patrick Beirnes and Corry MacDonald. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
