FRANK PETER BEDNAR January 31, 1915 - March 19, 2005 Peacefully at the Deer Lodge Centre on March 19, 2005 at the age of 90 years, dearly beloved husband of Nettie (57 years); father of Patricia (Karl) Lenchuk and Joanne (Tom) Hutchison; grandfather of Jeffrey (Tracey) Lenchuk, Michelle (Bart) Palmer, Cheryl Lenchuk, Jocelyn (Mike) DeNora, Genevieve (Mike) Freeman and Janelle Dubois; great-grandchildren, Desirae Lenchuk, Sara and Sydney Freeman and Alyssa De Nora; and brother of Stella (Jim) Findlay. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Anna and Daniel Bednar; sister Helen and brother-in-law Michael Stonyk. He was employed with Air Canada (Trans Canada Airlines) for 35 years, retiring as Manager of aircraft appearances. Frank was an avid bowler and curler. He was instrumental in the formation of the Airline Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed fishing and hunting. In 1975, Frank and Nettie retired to Clandeboye, where they enjoyed having their children, grandchildren and friends visit to go boating, gardening and fishing, providing a vacation spot at Wavey Creek Haven. Frank's spiritual participation in the St. George's Anglican Church brought him great joy and comfort. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 24 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. George's Anglican Church, 8716 No. 9 Hwy. (2 miles north of Clandeboye), with The Venerable Godfrey Mawejje officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to at the church. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Deer Lodge Centre for all their patience and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank's memory can be made to a charity of your choice. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
