HOOPER April 22, 1928 - March 21, 2005 Following a short battle with cancer, John passed away peacefully on Monday, March 21, 2005 at the Riverview Health Centre. John was united in marriage with Bernice Willitts on April 9, 1955. The couple was blessed with twin boys, David and Bill. Bernice passed away on June 5, 1965 and John raised his family in Winnipeg and Stonewall. John working career spanned 41 years with the C.P.R. before retiring in 1985. He will be remembered as an avid reader and for his enjoyment of tennis, baseball and curling. Upon his retirement he found pleasure in gardening and shared the fruit of his labours with his friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John's memory to the Salvation Army Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1932 Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R2. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held Saturday, March 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre.
