Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySANDY DELARUE (nee OPHOF) After a lengthy illness, Sandy Delarue passed away on March 4, 2005 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Kimberly Delarue and her fiance Domenic Pittis; her mother Hella Ophof; her brother Harry Ophof, nephews and niece, and her many friends. Sandy is predeceased by her husband John Delarue, and her father Siepko Ophof. Sandy was beautiful, kind and gentle. She was a friend to all. Her laugh was infectious, she was always happy. She will be dearly missed. The family wishes to thank the Oncology staff of Seven Oaks Hospital for their continual kindness and care. Funeral arrangements have previously taken place. If friends so wish, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. With a sweep of wing, breath and song arching up to the sky; kind angel, lift my gaze to clouds, my heart to joy. Teach me to soar.

I was struck with profound sadness upon learning of Sandy's death. I will always remember her fondly for her keen sense of sportmanship and competitiveness on the track and her congenial nature in everyday life. She was a valuable member of our track team and a cherished and respected friend.
