MARJORIE EVELYN SMITH Peacefully, on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at the Poseidon Care Centre, Mrs. Marjorie Smith, aged 92 years, of Winnipeg, MB completed her journey here on earth. Marjorie was predeceased by husband Frank James Smith and son Kenneth James Smith. Marjorie leaves to mourn her passing son Dale and wife Elaine - their children, Ryan and Tara (Mike) of Regina, SK; her daughter Elaine Pinchbeck and husband Michael of Whitby, ON; her son Stewart and wife Pat - his stepchildren, Lisa MacGregor (Tim) - their children, Cole and Scott of Winnipeg, MB, Cathy Bourne (Shawn) - their children, Spencer and Jordan, Jeff Vincent (Jacqui) - their children, Robyn, Kyle and Donald; daughter-in-law Linda - her and Ken's children, Crystal (Terry), Andrea (Andrew), James, and Chris (Bernie) - their children, McKenna, Matthew and Erin of Winnipeg, MB. She was fondly known as Nan by Cindy Lamouriex (Shawn) - their daughter Cayley. Mom was raised in Basswood, MB. After graduation from Normal School, she taught at Meadowdale School where she met her husband Frank and lived in this rural community until her husband's death. Mom taught at schools throughout Manitoba eventually retiring from Daerwood School in Selkirk. Mom's special passion was children, curling and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Mom continued her love of teaching and her pursuit of education delivery through her years of volunteer work concluding in 1999 at River Elm School. The family would like to thank all the caring staff at the Poseidon Care Centre, especially to each of you on the 4th floor who lovingly cared for our Mother for the past four years. Mom always enjoyed participating in the special functions provided by the Activities Department. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice involving her favourite love - children. Cremation has taken place. A family service and reception will be held Saturday, March 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave. Aubrey Street entrance. A letter to our beautiful Mother: Mom, it is with sad hearts that we say goodbye to you. Each of us has special memories that will slip into our hearts each day. Sometimes it will be with tears of sorrow, other times it will be with a smile of a remembered moment of joy. Though we will all miss you greatly, we will take heart knowing God has taken you under His protective wing to join our Dad and brother Ken in Heaven. - With undying love from your children.
