MARIE HERMINE BEATRICE CHARKEWICH (BEA) (nee PAQUETTE) Peacefully, on March 23, 2005, surrounded by her family, Beatrice Charkewich passed away at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 75 years. Mom will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons, Greg Muzychka (Carol), Robert Muzychka (Lori); daughter Patricia Graham; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mom was predeceased by her husband John; son Noel; four brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her sister Ida; sister-in-law Rita; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was born on September 14, 1929, and lived most of her life in Transcona. She loved spending time with her family and numerous friends. She enjoyed going to garage sales, bingo and the casino. Her hobbies included knitting, doing puzzles, and baking for her family. She looked forward to attending her Friendly Settlers Club every Monday afternoon. She especially looked forward to her trips to the mall with her granddaughter Meagan. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to home care worker Linda for her special care of Mom over the past few years. We also wish to thank the staff in ICU at Concordia Hospital, in particular nurse Elaine, for her care and compassion during this most difficult time. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 30 at 1:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St., with Rev. John Holmen officiating. Private interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Concordia Hospital Foundation. Give Pops a hug for us. Forever in our hearts we love you. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
