FRED BAYDAK, aged 91, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2005 at Grace Hospital. He was predeceased by his loving wife Ann of 65 years; son Richard; parents, John and Martha; brothers, Steven, Peter, Nick, and Joseph; sisters, Mary, Pearl and Anne. Left to cherish his memory are, his son Michael (Darlene); grandchildren, Brad (Cheryl), Debbie, Teresa (Brian), Melanie (John) and Scott; eight great-grandchildren, Cara, Catlin, Dustin, Courtney, Zack, Hunter, Cole and Zachary; sister Teenie. Fred was born April 30, 1913 in Rossburn, MB. He married Ann Stefanishyn on May 31, 1936 and together they farmed in the Angusville area until 1965. They then moved to Winnipeg where he was employed by Sunshine Uniform until his retirement in 1980. After the passing of his wife, Fred moved to Kiwanis where he enjoyed get togethers with friends playing bingo and rumoli. Fred was a member of St. Basil's Parish. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, March 29, at 8:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 30, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 202 Harcourt with Rev. Fr. Isidore Dziadyk OSBM officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fred's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
