Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryZOFIA CIERESZKO (KURARZ) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Zofia Ciereszko on Thursday, March 24, 2005 with her loving family beside her. Zofia was born in Poland to Zofia and Pawel Trubacz. She had a twin brother who died at birth. She had a brother and a sister Mary. During the war she met and married Stefan Kurarz and gave birth to their son Tadeusz (Tedd). Having lost her husband she and Tedd immigrated to Canada in 1956 to start a new life. She married Alphonse Ciereszko upon arriving in Winnipeg, and they had a son Richard three years later. Becoming a single parent she worked in factories as a seamstress, and also did housework which enabled her to bring her sister Mary to Canada and raise her two children. Zofia's family was the centre of her being and her sons were the light of her life that brought her great joy and happiness. She was a longtime member of the St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church and her faith gave her much strength. Zofia is survived by her son Tedd (Linda) Kurarz, grandchildren, Cherisse and Chantel (Kamil) and great-grandchildren, Chaylin and Kody; son Richard Ciereszko (Leslie) and grandchildren, Desiree and Rickie. She was predeceased by her parents, Pawel and Zofia; two brothers; sister Mary and brother-in-law Chester Stopyra. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 31, at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Very Rev. Msgr. Wesley Cwieka officiating. Interment will follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Mama we love you - till we meet again. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
