Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANTHONY DUMANSKI 1919 - 2005 Tony passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2005 at the Concordia Hospital after a very short battle with cancer and pneumonia. He is survived by his wife Mary; their children and grandchildren, Donna Hayward and David and Christopher Dueck; Edward (Daryl) and Kyla Dumanski; Susan (Jeff) and Kyle and Stephen Sawchuk. He also leaves two sisters-in-law, Kay and Theresa Kimak; nephew John Kimak; nieces, Jane McIvor, Bridget Kimak, Lorraine Smith, Janice Gray and their families. Tony was predeceased by his parents; his sisters, Katey, Olga Dudar; brother Walter and an infant son Georgie. Tony, born February 22, 1919 was the last of seven children born to John Dumanski and Frances Kulczycki. Tony started work at a young age growing up in the North End where he met Mary at the bowling lanes on Selkirk Avenue. They married in 1948 in St. Joseph's Church. He was employed by Carlings for over 35 years first as a painter and then in the bottling plant. He was a member of St. Joseph's Men's Club and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: woodworking, stamp and coin collecting, doing puzzles, enthusiastically watching wrestling and playing his harmonica with the Smith Street seniors group and later during his visits at Holy Family Nursing Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place. A service will be held at St. Alphonsus Church on Munroe and Brazier on Tuesday, March 29 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Cemetery.
