FLORENCE (BILLIE) PERCY Peacefully on March 26, 2005, Billie went to be with her Lord and Saviour in her 94th year. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Jo-Ann Lindsay (Bill); her son Bill (Angie); grandchildren, Jill, Nancy, Kelly, Chris, J., Karen, Tom and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1986. Billie spent most of her life in Charleswood where she was active in the community, including being a Past President of the Varsity View Community Club and the ladies section of both the Charleswood Golf and Curling Clubs. She was also a past Worthy Matron of Friendship Chapter 67 Order of the Eastern Star. Billie was a longtime employee of The Bay and she enjoyed going to work on a part time basis even after her 75th birthday. Billie enjoyed many summers with her friends and family at Falcon Lake and spent a number of winters in Arizona. Billie was a staunch and loving supporter of her children and grandchildren in all aspects of their lives. Above all, Billie will be remembered as enjoying life, especially socializing, dancing, golfing, curling, playing cards, working and generally being one of the last persons to leave a party. Florence spent the last three years as a resident of Heritage Lodge and the family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff for their excellent care. Florence received much peace and comfort from her Christian Faith, particularly in her latter years. She enjoyed her association with various churches during her life including St. Mary's Anglican Church and more recently with Sturgeon Creek United Church. At Florence's request, a private family burial will be held. The family would like to invite you to a reception on Wednesday, March 30 between 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Florence's memory to the Sturgeon Creek United Church Pastoral Care Fund, 207 Thompson Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3J 3E2. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca
