Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH DEMENCHUK Suddenly on Friday, March 25, 2005, Joseph Demenchuk, passed away at the age of 98 years. He was predeceased by his wife Katherine in 1999; parents, Onishym and Sekrita and cousin John Kolada. Joseph is survived by the Kolada and Ledochowski families. He was born on January 29, 1907 in Brylewo, Belarus. Joseph immigrated to Canada in 1927 and for the first few years worked on the prairies in farming, logging and highway construction. He settled in Winnipeg and married Katherine Ledochowski in 1931. Joseph was a partner in the Aberdeen Fish Market for 35 years and then employed by Neptune Fisheries. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, berry and mushroom picking. Joseph was a member of the Federation of Russian Canadians. He lived in his own home well into his nineties and most recently was a resident of St. Joseph's Residence. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 2, at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined.
