CAROLINE MARY SABATOWSKI (nee BIALEK) It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Caroline Sabatowski (Carrie) at the East Gate Lodge at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2005. Caroline was born September 9, 1916 to Rosalia and Karol on a farm in Cooks Creek. Caroline's siblings include Francis, Billy, Mary (deceased) and survived by Stella, Walter and Joyce. Caroline married Joseph Sabatowski in February 1936 and settled on a farm near Beausejour, MB. After Joe's passing her brother-in-law John Sabatowski (deceased) continued to be very supportive and was close to her until his passing. She will be missed by her children, Ed (Carol), Shirley (Walter); grandchildren, Wendy, Jeff (Cheryl), Shelley (Doug), Tammy (Glen), Cindy (Sean) and Lisa; as well as great-grandchildren, Brittney, Bridgette, Stephanie, Carly, Aaron and Dylan. Caroline was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1979, daughter Helen and her husband Leonard and son Billy. Caroline loved to see her family on the weekends and holidays, she always cooked and cared for them. She would come to Winnipeg to shop, play bingo, cards and polka. Her sense of humor was magnetic and she would laugh the longest. She stayed on the farm until 1999 and remained in Beausejour until her passing. In the end, despite her not being able to speak, she could still whisper I love you. The family would like to thank the people who care for her over the years. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday, March 31 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russell Funeral Home, Beausejour. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 1 at 10:00 a.m. from the St. Paul's United Church, 730 James Ave., Beausejour, with Rev. Jon Robertson officiating. Interment in the Tyndall Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Klos, Sean Magis, Glen Lamborne, Lenny Czastkiewicz, Lawrence Bialek and Clarence Bialek.
