DOROTHY JOANNE CURTIS It is in deep remorse that the family of Dorothy Joanne Curtis, announce her sudden passing on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg. Dorothy was born on November 19, 1935 in Winnipeg, MB, daughter of Mabel and Henry McQuade. She married her childhood sweetheart, Ed Curtis, on June 7, 1958. Together they raised two daughters, Mavis (Norm) Morrissette of Winnipeg and Donna (Alf) Zdebiak of Brandon. One of Dorothy's greatest joys were her grandchildren, Candace, Erin, Brian, Renie, Chris and Sarah. She will also be missed by her sister, Mavis Burr and twin brother, Dennis (Shirley) McQuade, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was involved with the seniors at the Army and Navy, she enjoyed family gatherings, camping, knitting, baking and doing puzzles. Dorothy was loved and inspired by all who knew her. The ceremony to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th St. North, Brandon, MB, on Thursday, March 31 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Laird Russell-Yearwood of Central United Church will officiate. Private interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Dorothy to the Heart Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 3-824-18th St., Brandon, MB R7A 5B7. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the ICU in the Brandon Regional Health Centre and the CCAN in the St. Boniface Hospital.
