PETER LEONARD BOWYER 1942 - 2005 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Peter Leonard Bowyer on Easter morning, March 27, 2005 with family and friends in his company. Peter's passing was quick and without pain as he was under the care of the Health Sciences Centre. Peter is survived by his wife Vida Bowyer (nee Pettipas); children, Robert Murphy, Chris (Margaret) Murphy, Peter (Amanda) Bowyer; grandchildren, Jennifer, Patrick, Kathryn, Chantal, Kevin, and Cynara Murphy; great-grandchild Nevada Pierce; granddog Taz. Peter is also survived by his sister Marion and brother Keith, both of England, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Daisy Bowyer. Born in London, England January 15, 1942, Peter came to Winnipeg in 1967 and met Vida (Pettipas) in 1969, with her two sons Robert and Chris. They married on July 26, 1974 and lived in St. Norbert where their son Peter was born in 1976. They then moved to the country in Kleefeld, MB, then finally to St. Vital for the past 25 years. Peter's hobbies included bird watching, drawing, general trivia, taking picnics with Vida and close friends, and watching the world through his armchair window. With a never ending thirst for knowledge, Peter never ceased to amaze us with his encyclopaedic mind for facts, history, and political events. At his request a cremation will take place and a memorial on Friday, April 1 at 2:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Winnipeg. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, (204) 222-3241
