Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLORIA FERENS (FANDYCH) 1958 - 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gloria Ferens after a lifelong struggle with heart disease on Tuesday, March 29, 2005. Even in the face of insurmountable difficulties, Gloria's sense of humour and good nature were evident to all who crossed her life's path. The very strength and positive outlook that kept her alive beyond all expectations are an example to which all can aspire. Her greatest joy was making others laugh. Gloria leaves to deeply mourn her passing her sons, Kevin Fandych (Belle) and Cory Fandych (Desiree); their father John Fandych; her mother Helen Ferens; her sisters, Joanne MacLean (Wess), Susan Thesen (Wayne), Cynthia Hodgson and Pam Ferens; and nephews and nieces, Sheldon, Conally, Tiffany, Daniel, Candice and Robyn; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her beloved father John Ferens. You're in the arms of an angel, may you find some comfort here. Rest peacefully at last, our dear mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. We will miss you always, and you will live in our hearts forever. Prayers will be held at Sobering Funeral Chapel on Thursday (tonight), March 31 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held also at the Chapel on Friday, April 1 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3A 0G7. I first met Gloria way back when we were teenagers catering with her Aunt's catering company. We did keep in touch over the years and whenever I went out to Beausejour to visit my family, I would make sure to visit with her. too Even though it's been a few years since I last saw Gloria, I will miss her deeply.
