DAVID LLOYD BARTLEY 1922 - 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. At his home March 29 David passed away peacefully, with his family by his side. David is survived by his wife Alda Doreen; two sons, Ryan and Warren (Angela) and their two children Colin and Ashton. David was born in Carman and raised on a farm near Roland, MB. He farmed for over 50 years, growing some prized crops of sunflowers, wheat and flax. Dad loved to tell a joke, relate a funny story, or do whatever he could to make someone smile, and brighten their day. Through eight years of retirement in Carman, David enjoyed square dancing, Fiddle Festival involvement, visiting with many friends, and trips to Winnipeg to see his grandkids. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Carman United Church, 134 1st Street, with Rev. Catherine Waldie officiating. Lunch to follow at the Community Hall in Carman. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Roland. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Brummitt-Faesby ALS House, 2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3, or to a charity of one's choice. Doyle's Funeral Chapel of Carman in care of arrangements. www.doyleschapels.com

  • Alda, just want you to know that I am thinking of you today. It's going to be a tough day to go through but the days that follow are even harder. May God be you always. Love, Erna Bergmann Morden - Posted by: Erna A Bergmann (Family) on: Apr 02, 2005
