Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRENE GOETHALS (nee BRUDER) It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Irene Goethals, our loved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 70 years. Her memory will be cherished by her loved husband Maurice, son Jeff (grandchildren, Meghan and Ryan), daughter Cindy (Cliff) Jones (granddaughter Jennifer (David) Forbes, (great-grandchildren, Wesley and Laura)), son Chris (Leona) (grandchildren, Randy, Bradly and Colby), as well as many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father Peter in 1979. Thank you to all the doctors who gave her special care throughout the years, as well as all the nurses and staff at St. Boniface Hospital. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin Road, with viewing one half hour prior. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Irene's memory can be made to St. Boniface Research Foundation, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6. I worked at the medical clinic where Irene was a patient. She always had a smile for me when she came in and I always enjoyed chatting with her. She always had news about her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was so proud of them all. I will miss her greatly and I am so glad that I got to meet her. She will always be remerbered by me as a lovely caring woman who could always see the best in everything and everyone. She will be missed greatly.
