SOEUR (SISTER) CLAIRE-LUCILLE (nee BERNADETTE MORIN) Fille de la Croix (Sister of the Cross) March 2, 1908 - March 30, 2005 On Wednesday, March 30, 2005, Soeur (Sister) Claire-Lucille passed away peacefully at the age of 97 at the Sisters' Provincial House located at 66 Moore Ave. in Winnipeg. Sister was predeceased by her parents Laurent and Pamela; her brothers, Paul, Jean-Louis (Marguerite Poliquin +), Andre (Antonia Gagnon +), Marcel, Augustin (Edesse Gauthier +), Charles (Doris Gregson +), Paul and Francois (Yvette Lemieux +); and by her sisters, Catherine, Laurence (Armand Lauzon +), Aline, Annette, Jeanne, Lucille, fdlc, and Madeleine, fdlc. She leaves to mourn her passing two sisters, Claire, fdlc, and Reine; as well as many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Born in Montreal, QC, Sister's family moved to Lafleche, SK, where the children received their first years of schooling. In 1925, Bernadette began her formation to the Religious Life in La Puye, France. She lived her commitment as a Sister of the Cross for 77 years and seven months. She loved her Religious Community dearly and dedicated her whole life to serving God's People, especially the children. She always made sure that her teaching included life skills that would help children realize their full potential. Among her belongings a small notebook was found in which were written the names of all her former students. The well-worn pages indicated that she must have referred to it often. When she retired from teaching, she visited the sick at Foyer Valade and participated in some of the activities of the senior group of St. Eugene Parish. She had a special concern for prisoners, and for years she corresponded with an inmate at Stony Mountain. Sister Claire-Lucille will be fondly remembered for her strong faith, her love of life and her sense of humour. Most of all, those whose paths she crossed in her lifetime will remember her for the quality of the relationships she nourished with everyone. Dear Sister, may you rest peacefully as you reap the fruits of your labour and may you continue to watch over all of us. Prayers for Soeur (Sister) Claire-Lucille will be held on Friday, April 1 at 7:00 p.m. at the Provincial House, 66 Moore Ave., Winnipeg. Mass of the Resurrection for Soeur (Sister) Claire-Lucille will be celebrated at 66 Moore Ave. on Saturday, April 2 at 1:00 p.m., Rev. Father Fernand Desjardins officiating. Interment will take place in St. Adolphe Cemetery located in St. Adolphe, MB. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in charge of arrangements. 775-2220
