ROLAND TELESPHORE VERRIER October 27 1947 - March 30 2005 After a courageous battle with cancer, our loving husband, father, grandfather, left us to go with his heavenly father where pain and suffering no longer exist on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at home with his loving family by his side. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Diane (Chatel); his daughters, Therese (Ken Dandeneau), Roselyne (Allen Sawka); his sons, Claude (Chantal Perrin), Robert (Corry Adams); his grandchildren, Marissa and Jessica Martel, Daniel, Danica and Deanne Dandeneau, Justin, Janelle and Alex Verrier, Stephanie Maclean, Andrew Verrier, Brady Sawka and Zane Coleman; his parents, Eugene and Solange (Courcelles); his brothers, Gilbert (Annette Bourrier), Victor (Gisele Labossiere), Denis (Irene Pelletier), Gilles (Therese Marion), Armand (Cecile Harel), Real (Louise Levesque); his sisters, Marie-Paule (Claude Bourgouin), Madeleine (Jorge DaSilva), Diane (Maurice Levesque), Angele (Roland Kirouac), Nicole (Leo Levesque), Ginette (Gerald Jolicoeur), Helene (Shane Shodine); his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marcel and Marie-Jeanne (Vandal) Chatel; his sisters-in-law, Jeanette (Dan Letekeman), Cherie (Brian Tysoski); his two brothers-in-law, Ron (Louise Paille) Alan (Michelle Pelland); and his many many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his precious granddaughter Alliah Verrier and sister-in-law Gisele Levesque. Roland was born in Steinbach on October 27, 1947. He spent his entire life living in La Broquerie. Together with his brothers, Gilbert and Victor he owned and operated a successful dairy farm until 1988. His dreams for his future began to unfold and over the years he built what he called his own little paradise on earth, where he enjoyed taking long walks in the trails, quading with his precious grandchildren and enjoying nature. Everyone that knew him knew that there was perfection in everything he did. Our lives have been so richly blessed for the time that we have had with him. His dreams and his memory will forever live on in his family. What a blessing it is when God takes us when we can't take it any more. Til' we meet again my love. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 2 at 3:00 p.m. at the St. Joachim Catholic Church in La Broquerie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roland's memory to the Bethesda Foundation, Box 939, Steinbach, MB R5G 1A3. Please specify In memory of Roland Verrier towards furnishings of the new CancerCare Unit in Steinbach . The family would like to thank Dr. Karen Toews and the chemo unit staff of the Steinbach CancerCare Clinic for their exceptional care and compassion shown towards our loved one. We would also like to thank Anne Plett and the home care staff for the wonderful care we received.
