KATIE AGNES VERDANT March 8, 1916 - March 29, 2005 At the Gladstone Third Crossing Manor in Gladstone, MB Katie passed away at the age 89 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Mary Verdant; oldest sister Annie; two brothers, Marian and Walter. She is survived by her special friends, Marilyn Atkey and family in Austin, MB; Peter and Stella Roschuk of Poplarfield, MB. Katie was born and raised in the Poplarfield, MB area, in the Hamrlik District. She farmed and worked for others in the district, until 1991 when Katie moved to Austin, MB. She moved to the hobby farm of Marilyn and family. Katie loved tending to the farm animals and planting the garden, like she had when she lived in Poplarfield, MB. In August of 2004 Katie was sent to the Carbury Hospital and from there she moved to the Third Crossing Manor in Gladstone, MB until her passing. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 4 at the Poplarfield Hall in Poplarfield, MB at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at the Hamrlik Cemetery with Wesley Barrett officiating.
