Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD THOMAS WORRALL It is with deep love, respect and enormous sadness that the family of Edward Thomas Worrall announces his unexpected passing at the age of 86, on Friday, March 4, 2005 at Concordia Hospital. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his children, Sherri (Larry) Beaudry, Nancy Kangas, Ron Worrall, Sandra Liggins; grandchildren, Ryan and Lynsey Beaudry (Jeff), Crystal and Stacey Kangas, Dominick Worrall; great-granddaughter Madisson Delorme. Ed is also survived by his wife June. Ed was predeceased by his father Thomas, mother Elizabeth, sister Edna and his first wife of 23 years, Beatrice (Bea). Ed was born in Toronto, ON, August 1, 1918. His family moved to Winnipeg when he was 2, and settled in Brooklands. Ed worked at the Robertson Drug Store and then served in the Air force in the Second World War. When he returned to Winnipeg after the war ended, Ed worked at the power house downtown, and studied for his power engineering degree by correspondence. After he successfully completed his studies, Ed went to work for the Manitoba Government, Department of Labour, as a boiler and mechanical inspector from 1950 to 1983. After Ed retired in June 1983, Ed divided his time between his weekends and summers at his cottage at Brereton Lake, teaching part-time and being the sick visiting coordinator for the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 9. Ed was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 2 and then Branch No. 9 for over 50 years combined, and also a 53 year member of the St. Johns Masonic Lodge. Dad loved to sing songs, laugh and tell stories. His baby blue eyes twinkled and his smile would light up a room. He also loved cooking homemade french fries for his grandchildren. A memorial service celebrating Ed's life will be held on Monday, April 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson Hwy., with Rev. Don Wilson officiating, with a reception to follow. Cremation has already taken place, and a private family interment will be held at Brookside Cemetery. If friends so wish, donations may be made in his memory to the Royal Canadian Legion. We love you Dad / Grandpa. You'll always be in our memories and our hearts. KLASSEN FUNERAL HOME 1897 Henderson - North of McIvor - 338-0331
