Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE (JO-ANNE) MCBAY Peacefully on March 30, 2005 Anne passed away at the Concordia Hospital. Anne is survived by her daughter Dawn, grandson Michael; son Bernard (Frances), grandsons, Duane, Dean (Lori) and Shane (Bobbi-Jo); great-granddaughter Brooklyn; sisters, Marie Thompson, Pat Dutchyn; brother George and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur (Mickey) in 1964; her parents, Mary and Louis Drosky; sister Rose Thomas; brother William Drosky; niece Kimberley Thompson and nephew Mark Thompson. Her life partner, Cam, passed away in 1983. Anne was born October 5, 1919 in Broadview, SK and grew up in Yorkton. Later she moved to Regina then to Winnipeg. For many years Anne and Cam operated Cam's Grocery in north Winnipeg. She was a 40-year member of the Ladies Auxiliary Ukrainian Canadian Vet. Branch 141 where she was an active member especially on the poppy campaigns. She enjoyed her Thursday evenings at the Branch up until last September when her health would no longer allow her this simple pleasure. We would like to thank all of the staff on the N1 south ward at Concordia Hospital for all their care and compassion. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. My Mom, my friend, my confidante, I was not ready to let you go but at the same time could not see you struggle anymore to be with us. May you have eternal peace and be free of earthly burdens and sadness. You gave us so much and asked for so little, I love you Sweetie . CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
