Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADELINE LANGRELL Sadly we announce the passing of Adeline Langrell, aged 79, on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at the Grace General Hospital. Adeline (Addie) Langrell was born in 1925 in Shortdale, MB to Gregor and Cecelia Gunchoski. Addie spent her early years in the Bield Shortdale area, later moving to Winnipeg and married Henry LaPointe. Henry predeceased her in 1978. In May 1983 she married Roy Langrell. They enjoyed 11 happy years together in their home on Hampton Street. Together Addie and Roy enjoyed travelling, camping, dancing and especially gardening. Their garden was her pride and joy and she was well known for her green thumb. Roy passed away in 1994 and Addie carried on and showed a determination to be independent by working her garden and enjoying friends visiting her. Addie and her close friend Margaret always enjoyed their monthly Chinese dinners together. In 1996, she suffered a stroke which slowed her down a little. Determined to be independent, Mom was able to reside in her home until 2004, then reluctantly she moved into Kiwanis Court. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her five children, June (Gerry) Roberts, Terrie (Jack) Beatty, Larry LaPointe and his companion Camelle, Ray LaPointe and Ron (Elfreda) LaPointe; stepdaughter Judy (Peter) Koch; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and all her siblings, Stella, Stan, Mary and Elsie. The family would like to thank the staff of the 5th floor at the Grace Hospital for the exceptional care given to our mother. Prayers will be said on Thursday, April 7 at 7:00 p.m., at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Funeral Mass will be said Friday, April 8 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, 271 Hampton St. Addie will be laid to rest at the Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery following the reception at the church. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, donations to the Elevator Fund at St. Ann's Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715
