WILLIAM HENRY MC ALLISTER Peacefully on Friday, April 1, 2005, William McAllister, the beloved husband of the late Maria McAllister, passed away at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 91 years. He will be missed by his two sons, Carl McAllister (Donna) of Calgary, AB and Walter McAllister of Winnipeg; three grandchildren, Patrick McAllister (Wendy), Louise McAllister and Andrew McAllister (Heidi) and one great-grandson, Nathan; one sister, Jacqueline Heaton of Olds, AB; numerous nieces and nephews from the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand, especially Andrew and Sally who both recently visited William from Alberta. He will also be greatly missed by his dear friend Doreen Collins who was a beloved companion and who was always there for William, especially during the most difficult days. In addition to his late wife Maria and his parents, Henry and Elsie, William was predeceased by four brothers and one sister. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, April 5 at 7:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 6 at 1:00 p.m. in Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church, 249 Arnold Ave. at Osborne Street with the Rev. Fr. Henryk S. Laciak presiding. Interment and reception will follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Highway No. 1 East at Navin Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Unit CD-1, care of Riverview Health Centre, #1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4 or a charity of choice.
