Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOREEN ROSE SOTLAR (nee McKAY) Suddenly with her family at her side on Saturday, April 2, 2005 at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Doreen Rose Sotlar passed away at the age of 65 years. Doreen was born in Duck Bay on December 29, 1939, spending most of her life in Winnipeg. She was an avid bingo player where she enjoyed the company of her many friends. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory, her children, Lucy (Bryan), Sherry, Frankie, Lori (Jacques), Jamie, Russell (Bernice) and Tara; two brothers, Oscar and George; two sisters, Anne and Helen; and 18 grandchildren. There are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, April 5 at 7:00 p.m. with wake to follow at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg. Funeral Mass will be said on Wednesday, April 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Kateri Tekakwitha Roman Catholic Church, 794 Ellice Ave. with Fr. Robert Bernardin officiating.
